1st Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘Never Again’ by Shreyan Laha

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. **

As they say, “Never judge a book by its cover”. ‘Never again’ is one of those books which tend to change your take about the saying. As a reader, one will be tempted to defy the saying and love the cover of its book. The content mostly lives up to the expectation set by the cover.
Positives:-
1. ‘Historic fiction’ is refreshing as a genre. Very few good works are written in this area.
2. The book is not too bulky making it a good one-sitting read. However the contents could have been slimmed at places.
3. The language used is lucid and can be easily understood by any passing reader.

Areas of Improvements:-
1. The first few chapters are a bit complicated which may hamper the overall reading experience.
2. The list of German words at the start of the book is a bit unnecessary. The sudden presence of a few German words here and there in the novel spoils the mood at times.
3. Editing quality can be improved to ensure a better reading experience.

Overall, a nice read. We rate it to be a 4.3*/5* and recommend for a fair reading. Literoma will look forward to see the author exploring this genre further.
