Book Review by #LITEROMA :: "Yes, I met Maruti" by Daxesh Trivedi

** Thanks to the author for sharing a copy of the book for review.** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** "Yes, I met Maruti" is the first novel by debutante Gujarati author Daxesh Trivedi. The plot centres around a young lad named JJ who is also a Gujju and an MBA student (or is he author's shadow??). JJ falls in love with a beautiful girl named Deepika but their relationship goes through a turmoil when he meets Lord Hanuman in his dreams. Cannot reveal more than this as that will spoil the thrill of reading. There is a freshness in the storyline especially towards the end where the 3rd winner of the competition gets declared but the overall poor editing quality makes it a difficult read. As a non Gujju, I got to know a lot about the small town of Vadodara, it's banyan trees and birds, Chevdo (local sweet dish) and many Gujarati words used frequently throughout the book. But proper names written in lower case, improper

Right from the book title, book cover, page and print quality, depth of contents - the book left me engrossed in it's totality. After a very long time, I read a non fiction of this quality. I must congratulate the author for gifting her readers such a lovely read. I can see this book making it to the bestseller list of 2019. Coming to the book's contents - title 'The Humane Quest' in itself creates an immediate impact on reader's mind. The book in review is the 2nd volume of the series and I strongly feel why did not I read its first volume? Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Brahmahatya" by Rajiv Mittal

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a Kindle copy of the book for review. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Having read Rajiv's newest title "Panchateertha", I agreed to review his previous title "Brahmahatya". The intriguing title of the book caught my attention and I decided to give it a read over the weekend. And it lived up to my expectations. Our Hindu mythology is one of the oldest and largest repository of good vs devil kind stories and Rajiv has beautifully portrayed analogies in recreating the epics in the backdrop of 21st century landscape. More than his storylines, I loved his style of setting up mythical connections more. Characters like Ravi, Bhavna and Mrs. Raghavan are extremely crucial and have been well depicted. The length of the novel is also very apt - neither too long, nor a quick read type. Storytelling is also fluent but non-Hindu readers might find it difficult to rel
