Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Small Is Big Vol 2" by Rafaa Dalvi

** Thanks to the author for sharing a PDF copy of the book for review.** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** "Small Is Big" is a series of micro tales by Rafaa Dalvi. The one reviewed here is the second volume which has been released recently. Well what to say about the new book? A collection of another 100 lovely micro tales (or should I say terribly micro tales?). It is like a perfect Diwali gift by the author. The tiny stories are titled very well, narrated in a simple style, leaving an everlasting impact on its readers. The slimness of the stories is the main attraction of the book. Some of my personal favourites are - Castle, Fed, Pain, Scatter and Worst. The only aspect which could have been improved is the the tag line of the book : A collection of 100 more micro tales. The choice of word 'more' in the book cover sounds little light compared to the quality of its actual contents. Overall Literoma rates it as 3.8*/

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'A Sip of Coffee' by Satabdi Banerjee

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer T Mukherjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** 'A Sip of Coffee' is a collection of 50 poems by Satabdi Banerjee. Published in Paperback by Literoma. She has knitted the words so beautifully that every poem has been successful in creating an everlasting impact on my mind. The cover too is captivating, very aptly fitting with the theme of the book. Book layout designing and paper quality give it an international look and feel. I will specially like to appreciate the editor for the same. Coming to my comments about the poems, I liked majority of the poems, especially the ones based on love and relationships. It seemed from the poems that the poet might have gone through very tough times in her life which had brought out such emotional outbursts through her poems. Everyone of us go though difficult times in life. We would like her to come back with a more optimistic

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘And So Can You’ by Dr. Roopleen

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Bidisha Sengupta for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** ‘And So Can You’ by Dr. Roopleen starts with a positive note and the red cover gives the readers a feeling of brightness and power. As one proceeds through the book we get to know how deserving the title is. It takes us through 17 stories of 17 doctors and their journeys of life. The book heralds the message not only to  aspiring young medical students but to all people who are fighting their own battles whether it's personal or professional. The author  narrated us the stories of these 17 doctors, their struggle, hardship, success, failure, achievements, frustration and moments of elation. The author Dr Roopleen is herself a doctor and being born in a family of doctors felt the strong urge to let people know what a "doctor" goes through before he gets the degree ,how he fights with the forces of life to save

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Nomad and His Rhymes : Journey of Twin Flames" by Aashiesh Agarwaal

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a Kindle copy of the book for review. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Nomad and His Rhymes : Journey of Twin Flames" by Aashiesh Agarwaal is a beautiful poetry book based on the concept of Twin Flames. It comprises of numerous poems phased out in seven distinct sections. In the beginning of the book itself, there is a message which caught my eyes - author has dedicated his first book to God the eternal love and the eternal lovers residing in each of us. The dedication is not only surprising but also very uncommon. Every poem in the book has been well penned and effectively moulded to create an instant magic in reader's mind. I, personally being an avid reader of romance genre, have cherished reading many poems published in the book. Some of my personal favourites are Unanswered Call, The Mystic Call, Full Moon in a Cold Desert, Singing Angels Call The Dawn, Tears Forgotten in Bliss and

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'A Sip of Coffee' by Satabdi Banerjee

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** 'A Sip of Coffee' by debutant Indian poet Satabdi Banerjee has created an enchanting impact on my mind while I glanced through some of the poems featured in the book for first time. To name a few are Survival, A Quench and Soul Mate of which the last one touched me so much that I decided to read the entire book of 50 poems at one shot during my ensuing leisure trip. And I could not stop myself from doing so. I still remember to finish reading every bit of the book in just a three hour flight to my home city. I must appreciate the subtleness captured in each of her poems which truly reflects Satabdi's depth of feelings and strong emotions. I will wish her all the best for her next book and I am sure she will not keep her readers waiting for long. Overall Literoma rates the book as 4.5*/5* and recommend it f

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘And So Can You’ by Dr. Roopleen

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Merril Anil for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** ‘And So Can You’ by Dr. Roopleen truly justifies its title as the book is a collection of some of the most inspirational life journeys of renowned doctors from across the country. Each of these stories leave the stark and strong message of how we can too achieve our dreams just like these inspirational figures did in their life. The book excels in being able to resonate the life and struggles of these doctors in its simplicity and naturalist environment. I loved how the author didn’t try to portray them as larger than life but in simple and subtle way showed how the doctors mentioned in the book had to fight everyday odds to chase their dreams. It was amazing to read how many of these renowned doctors came from humble beginnings and shattering the contrary beliefs that doctors are reaped in the soil of wealth. The stories ar

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer TK Mukherjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** ‘And So Can You’ by Dr. Roopleen is a book ideal for doctors and medical students going through tough times in their lives. Not many books are written on such topics these days and there lies its brilliance. In this book, author has beautifully captured the real life struggles of seventeen successful doctors who have gone through lots of difficulties in their lives at some point of time or the other, but have been able to come out of it successfully through perseverence. From the narrations it clearly seems, author has put in a lot of research and hard work to compile their biographies. On a personal note, I liked many statements narrated in the book which will surely act as source of motivation for me in coming times. Few editing gaps are there but overall this book is worth reading as it talks about lives of doctors as well

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘We Can We Will We Must’ by Saranya Umakanthan

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** ‘We Can We Will We Must’ is a story of love & inspiration to win life when it hits you hard - as rightly outlined in one line by Saranya Umakanthan. The 236 paged novel is well broken into 19 chapters. The language used being very easy to understand by even a young adult and that makes it a wonderful read. As they say, “Never judge a book by its cover”. It is one of those books which tend to change your take about the saying. As a reader, one will be tempted to defy the saying and love the cover of this book. The protagonists Samaira and Vivian will leave a lasting impression in any reader's mind. Character building was very steady since the beginning, however at times the story looked little dragged. Also proofreading and editing gaps could have been improved. Overall, a nice read. Literoma will rate it to be a 3.5*/5* and reco

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Sangeeta Paik for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** “A Sip of Coffee ” is a very refreshing and simple English poetry book. The cover looks good and justifies aptly with the title. The book is a collection of 50 poems. As there are different flavours of coffee, one’s life has also vivid emotions deep inside. In this poetry book the author presents that very wisely. All poems have their own purpose and importance. The author used simple language that is easy to understand in every poem. Each has a unique title that captivates reader's attention. My favourites from the book are: Redlove , Soulmate , Cloud 9, I wish and Bloody womb and all of them touched deep my heart. Author makes great impression with the book and I sincerely appreciate her for the creative work. Overall I rate “A Sip of Coffee" 4/5 and wish best wishes to Literoma and Satabdi for their onward suc

My Views: “A Sip of Coffee” is a visual melange of ballads that was well set as beads of a beautiful pearl set. Though it is a debut novel, the author has been successful in making a perfect composition of every mood and emotion. These poems not only sharpen your imaginative capacity but it also take you to a different world all together. Engrossing narrative style, perfect locution placements, creative choice, mesmerizing vocabulary and unique conceptualization are definitely an added advantage to this awesome assemblage Its very had to pick your favorite liners, however the collections that won in my literature race are “Soulmate, No Prayer Goes Unanswered, Bold and Beautiful” I

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Swapna Peri for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Book Title: The title of the book 'A sip of coffee' is very refreshing and soothing. Book Cover: The cover image of the book is a simple digital image with geometrical shapes on the background and a picture of a young girl holding her coffee mug. Nothing about the book can be guessed by the image. About the book: The book, 'A sip of Coffee' is a collection of 50 poems that can be classified into different categories. Like  Leonardo Da Vinci once said, “Painting is Poetry which is seen and not heard, and Poetry is a Painting which is heard but not seen”. Poetry, therefore, is an essence of life and it portrays every situation in life. As there are various flavors of coffee, one's life also has various experiences. Some may be good, some bad, some great and some utter gruesome. In this book, th

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Sonal Pokharna Nahar for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** “And so can you!” By Dr. Roopleen is a collection of Inspiring stories of 17 successful doctors, who are role models for society but have their own stories. The book depicts their struggle and the way they faced it. It is a motivational book not only for medical students but also for everyone. Their stories are more inspiring than their success. All doctors have their own dark side of life, but they came out with zeal to face the ray of light. My personal favorite is story of Dr. Barnali Das. She dreamt of becoming a Doctor from her childhood. She achieved big in life. Her road to success was not easy but she fought with positive attitude and perseverance. She never quit, she always fought back and made her mark on each stone of success. All the stories are path showing. These legends lead our path to success. They

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "From Caterpillar to Butterfly" by Ritu A Gulabani

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Well what to say about 'From Caterpillar to Butterfly' ?? A collection of twenty lovely short stories by debutant author Ritu A Gulabani. The stories are narrated in a simple style, leaving an everlasting impact on its readers. Each of the plots can be well understood by anyone and everyone and there lies the beauty of this book. The cover page also captures the underlying simplicity of the book very aptly. Some of my personal favourites are - Serendipity. Love Birds, Sita and A Dream House. The only aspect which could have been improved is the pace of some of the stories like Blacky, Inspire Yourself and Soniya Aya; where, the plots get sluggish at times, reducing the interest of the reader. However this being Ritu's first book, these subtle things could be easily ignored. I will eagerly look forward to read more of her stories

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Now this is called a true motivational book - Be it ideawise, contentwise, representationwise or presentationwise, the book scores in every parameter. ‘And So Can You’ by Dr. Roopleen is not just a gift but it is a wonderful addition to the genre itself. The book presents a set of seventeen success stories of doctors (mostly opthalmologists) which are not only inspiring, but also there are so many lessons hidden in them. Reading each life story made me traverse through their courses of life and there lies the success of Dr. Roopleen as the author. Her free flowing presentation has added that required spark in the book which otherwise would have been a stale narrative of several biographies. Since these stories are more of personal interviews, lets not judge them in terms of merit. There are inspirations to draw from ever

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Sabyasachi Mukherjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** ‘A Sip of Coffee’ is ingrained from subtle thoughts which take a high with every shot of caffeine hit in our mind.  A very strong line in the preface of the book moved me and intrigued me to go in between the covers to sip more in to the mellows that Satabdi had served in the various poems and verses of the book. Coffee a favorite beverage for many of us has many variants – hot/cold, latte/mixed/black, dark/grey, different blends Ethiopian/Brazilian/Sumatra etc., different blending techniques beaten/roasted/baked. Some classic way some modern technologies. Some suits all moods some are mood specific. Just like the offerings of Satabdi. Some verses touches the chord or emotions which are very classic, some are urban. Some would suit reader while travelling over jet and cabs speeding across, some may be on a lazy winte

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'The Fragments of Love' by Ram Prasad Bisoi (Kashyap)

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Ms. Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** "The Fragments of Love” by Kashyap (aka Ram Prasad Bisoi) is a collection of assorted poems and verses framed artistically in an aphoristic style. The poet has captured universal truths hidden in nature beautifully through his poems. The narrations are so classy that any reader will at once feel an integral part of it instantly. Also, the book cover captures his message so beautifully - 'Poems from Heart'. Verses from the book like 'The Silver Drops', 'Glitter Diamond Forever', 'Life, Death, Silence and the Unknown Citizen' have created an everlasting impact on me. On the other hand, 'The Desire of Pain' cannot slip off my dreams. That's why people perhaps say, the power of poetry is beyond the bullets. To quote Kashyap, here I share some amazing lines from his poem &

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'Life - The Splendour' by Ram Prasad Bisoi (Kashyap)

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Ms. Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** As they say, “Never judge a book by its cover or title”. ‘Life - The Splendour’ is one of those exceptions which tend to change your take about the saying. As a reader, one will be tempted to defy the adage and just love the cover as well as the title of this book. And the content mostly lives up to the expectation set by the cover. The book comprises of over a hundred poems, beautifully crafted by the curator Kashyap (pen name of Ram Prasad Bisoi). In many of his poems, we can see a realistic reflection of modern day society, especially in poems like 'The Lady Hawk' and 'The green lady love in grace'. His poems also talk about the solitary side of love in poems like 'Solace' and 'My insanity'. But of all the poems, my personal favourite are the last two poems in the book 'The fra

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Sonal Pokharna Nahar for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** "A Sip of Coffee” by Satabdi Banerjee is a collection of assorted poems and verses on different subjects. The poetess has depicted different emotions beautifully. The narration is so free flowing that any reader can feel them as part of own life. All poems are good, but I personally loved the poem 'Soul Mate' the most. It will always stay fresh in my heart. The flow of words is so smooth that each line creates a colorful canvas in front of my eyes. The choice of subjects for all the poems is amazing. Poetess took utmost care to keep the book compact but effective. It is a book to cherish for long. I will give 5*/5* to it. It is a must read.

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'A Sip of Coffee' by Satabdi Banerjee

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Sayan Basak for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. **  Satabdi Banerjee’s collection of poem framed in “A Sip of Coffee” is a book beyond love, hatred, anguish, feelings amalgamating emotions to fiction.  Coffee” is a lot more than just a drink; it’s something happening. Not as in hip, but like an event, a place to be, but not like a location, but like somewhere within yourself. It gives you time, but not actual hours or minute’s, but a chance to be, like be yourself, and have a second cup. The poems beautifully reverberate around several emotions which we encounter in everyday life and reflecting on the way we react to it. Take any emotion—love for a woman or grief for a loved one, or what we are going through, fear and pain from a deadly illness. The book delivers that If you hold back on the emotions—if you don’t allow yourself to go all the way through them—you can never get

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Cyber Security at Your Finger Tips" by Reetwika Banerjee

*** Special thanks to the author Ms. Reetwika Banerjee for gifting us such a useful book - "Cyber Security at Your Finger Tips" *** ** Thanks to cyber security expert Mr. A. Dutta for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Perhaps it is high time when the entire world needs a book like this. It talks of twenty very common yet devastating cyber threats and/or crimes which almost all of us have come across in some or the other way in the last ten years. The topic is not uncommon but where this book stands apart is, even being such a technical topic like cyber security, Reetwika has explained the crimes without using any hi-tech jargons (where other authors often complicate things for their general readers). Being a cyber security counsellor, Reetwika has also gone ahead to share her invaluable tips in very simple language, totally free of deep technical knowledge or IT skills. In a language which any layman can understand and easily follow as part of his or her da
