** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** Format: Paperback/Kindle Edition Genre: Fiction Pages: 121 The captivating cover page with a jazzy title was successful in creating the first excitement in me to glance through the pages inside. The cover image titled in the name of a lady clearly gives me the imagery about the overall plot - a storyline with a lady protagonist. The mysterious vintage tinge of the cover aroused a pich of curiosity in me, making me guess a mystery behind the lady's existence. No, it's not a horror or paranormal book, Rukhsaar is a very realistic character and can be easily found in and around us. But her decisions in life are not so common where this book differentiates from others. The story flows smoothly till she finds her love and decides to settle with him. How they they get married, have children etc cover the initial chapters which in fact

Book Review by #LITEROMA: ‘Rukhsaar - The Women of Substance’ by Devi Raghuvanshi

** Thanks to author for sharing a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** ‘Rukhsaar - The Women of Substance’ by Devi Raghuvanshi being the eleventh novel by the author, I had a rather mixed review while reading the book. Perhaps I was expecting more complex storyline and diverse characterizations than what is offered between the covers. The title of the book is good and the book cover beautifully carries the feel of the theme. Good job done Literoma. It’s a short novel of 100 odd pages so you can have a quick read of the book. The central plot reflects deep rooted societal realism and there is a vivid description of the lady Rukhsaar and the fights she had to embrace with time. The unconventional relationship of Rukhsaar and Sameer offers a deep impact on the readers. The art of characterization is good. The characters are quite real and still exist in some parts of India. The character of Rukhsaar, her bold and

Book Review by #LITEROMA: ‘Rukhsaar - The Women of Substance’ by Devi Raghuvanshi

** Thanks to author for sharing a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer S Bando for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** ‘Rukhsaar - The Women of Substance’ is the eleventh book written by a seasoned novelist Mr. Devi Raghuvanshi. All the characters including protagonists Rukhsaar and Sameer looked very authentic. Aryan's character has been well conceptualized. The story telling is smooth – the reader can pick up this novel and complete it during one long cab ride. Raghu has done a fairly good job in ensuring the story gets over before the readers gets bored. However, the story has quite a few opportunities for improvement. The time spent to build the climax and the time spent to bring the story to an end looked a little disproportionate – the end was quite abrupt. It was more of a sudden jerk than of a twist. But I must say, the overall plot sounds very cinematic. The eye catching cover adds a special touch to the deep thoughts of the author prese

Book Review by #LITEROMA: ‘Rukhsaar - A Women of Substance’ by Devi Raghuvanshi

** Thanks to author for sharing a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Tee Kay for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** First of all, a big thanks to Literoma and Author for gifting a review copy of the book. ‘Rukhsaar - A Women of Substance’ by Devi Raghuvanshi is a noteworthy effort by ‘Literoma Publishing Services’. The cover looks really fascinating which made me pick the book for review. It's equally commendable that as a publishing community, Literoma did a fantastic job by encouraging a novella written in simple Indian English to be taken to international publication. Even though Novels and short stories always have familiarity amongst the reader fraternity, novella has not much been explored as a genre in old Indian spectrum. We hope this book acts as one of the initial steps in building this much needed genre. Coming to the contents, ‘Rukhsaar - A Women of Substance’ is the story of a young lady named Rukhsaar – starting from how her life b

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Satabdi Mukherjee for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** Right from the cover image, everything about this book captures one's imagination. The author writes in a straightforward tone, telling a story of a woman, her dreams and her sacrifices and her mysterious last days. The narrative never loses steam - you turn page after page wanting to know more. The book deals with various themes, politics, corruption, religion, love, marriage, and business. Mr. Raghuvanshi has done his homework well and his thorough research is apparent from the well-fleshed out characters. I went through the book in a single night and it felt like the story would translate into a good film! My rating of the book is 4*/5*.

Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'Staring at the Sky' by Dr. Satyanarayan Mishra

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer S Bando for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** 'Staring at the Sky' is a collection of 26 poems by veteran Odia poet Dr. Satyanarayan Mishra. Published in Paperback and Kindle by Literoma. He has knitted the words so beautifully that every poem has been successful in creating an everlasting impact on my mind. The cover too is captivating, very aptly fitting with the theme of the book. Book layout designing and paper quality give it an international look and feel. Coming to my comments about the poems, I liked majority of the poems, especially the ones based on love and relationships. Special mention for - If there were some luck, Worn-out Stone, Dark and When Time Runs Out For You. It seemed from the poems that the poet might have gone through stressful days in his life which had brought out such emotional outbursts through his poems. Everyone of us goes though diffic

Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'Raindrops' by Shubhramita Chakraborty

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer S Bando for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** 'Raindrops' by debutante Indian poet Shubhramita Chakraborty has created an enchanting impact on my mind while I glanced through some of the poems featured in the book for first time. To name a few are Krishna, The Escape (from The White Desert series) and The Burnt Bread (from The Coconut Beach series) of which the last one touched me so much that I decided to read the entire book of 50 poems at one shot during my ensuing leisure trip. And I could not stop myself from doing so. I still remember to finish reading every bit of the book in just a three hour flight to my home city. I must appreciate the subtleness captured in each of her poems which truly reflects Shubhramita's depth of feelings and strong emotions. I will wish her all the best for her next book and I am sure she will not keep her readers waiting for lon

Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "December Waves" by Mandrita Bose

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer S Bando for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** Book Title: December Waves Author: Mandrita Bose Format:  Paperback & Kindle Mandrita Bose's "December Waves" is a collection of 60 heart touching poems sectioned across seven meaningful chapters. I loved almost all of them, some of which mark a special mention - The Breeze from Letters, Bronze Beaches from Waves, Walks from Her, Graffiti from Arts, He from Amore, Past from Yesterdays and Dew from December. The cover page calls for an honest toast - so apt with the overall theme of the book. Every poem from "December Waves" creates an instant magic in reader's mind -in fact after a very long time I came across such a heart melting poetry collection. I wish her to keep writing more and gift her readers with poetic doses. To quote her from 'The Winter' poem, "How our hands clasped ti

Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "December Waves" by Mandrita Bose

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** Book Title: December Waves Author: Mandrita Bose Format:  Paperback & Kindle When it comes to poetry, especially if written in English, an unavoidable poetic glimpse comes in my mind with legends like William Wordsworth (my all time favourite). When I start reading a poetry book even today, my mind travels to those golden lines from 'Daffodils' poem. The very comparison which came to my mind while reading some of Mandrita's poems creates the mark of the book. Fluent narration, tuneful expressions and beautiful visualizations - all what define her "December Waves". The book title is lovely which tunes so well with the background in cover - as if she herself is narrating her poems to readers. There is a personal touch in all her poems. My rating of the book is 4.5*/5* and I recommend to reader

Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "December Waves" by Mandrita Bose

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Satabdi Mukherjee for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** Book Title: December Waves Author: Mandrita Bose Format:  Paperback & Kindle This vast volume of poems has been an absolute delight to read. For ease of reading, the book is broken into seven chapters, each with an overarching theme. Each poem is given its space to breathe on the page, without crowding it with other poems, no matter how small it may be. This gives the book an airy, pleasant, and readable quality. My favorite was chapter five, “Amore” and if I were to pick one poem that I liked best, it would be “Stay.” So much emotion, love, and delicacy in one piece! Dealing with one of the finer human emotions, love, the poems in chapter five are particularly beautiful. Mandrita has dealt with nearly every emotion under the sun. I did not know it was possible to speak so sensitively of topics like depression an

Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Numi - The Guarded Loop" by Nupur Sandhu

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a Kindle copy of the book for review. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Numi is Nupur's fourth novel and is a must read for avid readers like me. Not many books have been authored in this genre yet by Indian authors and hence it has the potential to make it big. Numi is a short and crisp quick read type novel where one gets introduced to a non to familiar protagonist named Nuha and her healer mentor Minha. The names may sound little confusing, but take my words the confusion is the charm of this pocket thin book. Nuha, a young girl, takes you through the journey of one soul to another, in fact it is the personification of our spirit. The book presents multiple turns and twists, changing eyes of vision at times, mostly in the later half of the storyline. The build up was little slow in my opinion and was little ungripping. But it gears to top as we keep approaching the end where different sha

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Swapna Peri for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** Book Title: December Waves Author: Mandrita Bose Format:  Paperback & Kindle Inside the book: The book is a collection of 60 beautifully written poems that range from 4 lines to more than 10 lines. The poems are divided into seven chapters and the seven chapters are categorized into different themes. My review: From almost utter dislike to indifference to marginal acceptance to actually enjoying, my feelings towards poetry have undergone a drastic change in the last couple of months. Though I read books on poetry mostly in Telugu, somehow English poetry never fascinated me much. Thanks to the recent interest in modern age poetry, English poetry, especially by new age Indian Authors has finally caught my fancy. Now, talking about my experience after reading Mandrita Bose's ' December Waves ', I have compl

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book.** ** Thanks to our reviewer Sangeeta Paik for reviewing the book on behalf of #Literoma. ** "December Waves" by Mandrita Bose is a collection of poems which embrace optimism and solitude. The title is simple . The cover goes well as the content. In the cover page a woman is seen on it, who is looking in the horizon in solitude. The cover is beautiful as it an evening view. The theme and title are very well chosen. The book is divided into seven chapters. Those are - letters, waves, her, arts, amore, yesterdays and December. It has poems from all the phases of life . All those poems are soul stirring and heart touching. Each poems leave it's imprint on mind as well as in heart. The book has been written in simple and in elegant poetic language . ** Thanks to the author for gifting us a PDF copy of the book for review. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma. ** Death is one of the most explored genres in fiction, be it in terms of dark literature, thriller, horror or psycho thriller types. But a prolife or afterlife treatment of centre plots is never an easy task. The author being a healer has the perfect mix of personal experiences and exposure in handling real life NDE (near to death) cases and thus has been able to craft a novel like Numi. The story is narrated through the eyes of the lead named Nuha who is a lady healer (may be the author's shadow??) in search of quenching her curiosity about earthly existence of life vs spiritual souls. How a sudden meeting carves Nuha's life towards destiny is the novel all about. After our death, the energy stays back in the form of residual or entrapped energy as they say and Nuha through her life's journey tries to
