Book Review by #LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: 'Staring at the Sky' by Dr. Satyanarayan Mishra

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. **

'Staring at the Sky' is a collection of 26 poems by veteran Odia poet Dr. Satyanarayan Mishra. Published in Paperback and Kindle by Literoma. He has knitted the words so beautifully that every poem has been successful in creating an everlasting impact on my mind. The cover too is captivating, very aptly fitting with the theme of the book. Book layout designing and paper quality give it an international look and feel.

Coming to my comments about the poems, I liked majority of the poems, especially the ones based on love and relationships. Special mention for - If there were some luck, Worn-out Stone, Dark and When Time Runs Out For You. It seemed from the poems that the poet might have gone through stressful days in his life which had brought out such emotional outbursts through his poems. Everyone of us goes though difficult times in life. We would like him to come back with a more optimistic script next time.

The footnotes at the end make the poems complete as the usage of many vernacular words would not have been completely comprehended who is not well versed with that native language. I will specially like to appreciate the editor for the same.

Overall I will like to rate the book as 4.5*/5* and recommend it for a fine reading.
