Book Title: December Waves
Author: Mandrita Bose
Format:  Paperback & Kindle

Inside the book:
The book is a collection of 60 beautifully written poems that range from 4 lines to more than 10 lines. The poems are divided into seven chapters and the seven chapters are categorized into different themes.

My review:
From almost utter dislike to indifference to marginal acceptance to actually enjoying, my feelings towards poetry have undergone a drastic change in the last couple of months. Though I read books on poetry mostly in Telugu, somehow English poetry never fascinated me much. Thanks to the recent interest in modern age poetry, English poetry, especially by new age Indian Authors has finally caught my fancy.

Now, talking about my experience after reading Mandrita Bose's ' December Waves ', I have completely fallen in love with her writing. At the beginning of the book, a small introduction in the name of contents gives an idea of how versatile the poems are. The poetry is simple, beautiful and penetrating. All the emotions that are captured in the following poems are the ones that a person with extreme aesthetic sense experiences in their journey of life.

My personal favorites are the voice, the walk,  petrichor, aurora borealis, Graffiti, copyright, forelsket, past, riptides, pills, blaze, and mirror. Each poem reflects one's inner soul and one's own inner voice. Considering the feelings and emotions felt by a person about experiences, incidents, phenomena, and consequences as the main subject of the poem is very new and interesting. The tone of the poetry is equivalent to a sine wave having a number of crests and troughs.

I would rate it as 5*/5* an definitely want the poet to continue writing and continue inspiring readers like me with his words.
