Well what to say about 'From Caterpillar to Butterfly' ?? A collection of twenty lovely short stories by debutant author Ritu A Gulabani. The stories are narrated in a simple style, leaving an everlasting impact on its readers. Each of the plots can be well understood by anyone and everyone and there lies the beauty of this book. The cover page also captures the underlying simplicity of the book very aptly.

Some of my personal favourites are - Serendipity. Love Birds, Sita and A Dream House. The only aspect which could have been improved is the pace of some of the stories like Blacky, Inspire Yourself and Soniya Aya; where, the plots get sluggish at times, reducing the interest of the reader. However this being Ritu's first book, these subtle things could be easily ignored. I will eagerly look forward to read more of her stories soon.

Overall Literoma rates it as 4*/5* and recommends for an 'on-travel' reading.
