‘And So Can You’ by Dr. Roopleen starts with a positive note and the red cover gives the readers a feeling of brightness and power. As one proceeds through the book we get to know how deserving the title is. It takes us through 17 stories of 17 doctors and their journeys of life. The book heralds the message not only to  aspiring young medical students but to all people who are fighting their own battles whether it's personal or professional.

The author  narrated us the stories of these 17 doctors, their struggle, hardship, success, failure, achievements, frustration and moments of elation. The author Dr Roopleen is herself a doctor and being born in a family of doctors felt the strong urge to let people know what a "doctor" goes through before he gets the degree ,how he fights with the forces of life to save another one,his or her happiness when a patient survives and lows when they fail being successful and suffers abuses sometimes.

The story of different doctors belonging to different states of India and comes with their unique stories. Few examples:

ii) Dr Ashok Khurana who had a humble beginnings from a small town in Haryana. His paternal grandmother and mother sowed in him the seeds to serve people and is now a senior professor and Head of the Department of Ophthalmology, Rohtak. His take on life is still to stay humble, accept the gratitude which his patients and students has to offer as " the feeling of being respected as a good human being" appeals to more than material success.
