‘Never Again’ marks the promising debut of author Shreyan Laha. The book is a refreshing gift for readers who have a flair for world history. The book is a must read for any reader who loves exploring new genres. Good job done by the author in terms of building a plot with a historic backdrop. The characters built seem authentic.

The cover image is captured to the true essence of the plot.

However, post his promising debut, if Shreyan wants to grow as an author he needs to focus more on proper research. At times, the lack of the same was evident. Perhaps, it also led to an abrupt end. The way the climax was built deserves appreciation. But the abrupt end works as a mood spoiler. Also, there is a bit of mix up in first person and third person writing. At times, that hampers the reading experience.

Overall, it’s a 4.5*/5* read - One of those books which is a good one-time read but lacks the basic ingredients which stimulate repeat reads.
