Book Review :: ‘Nature Anthology’ Compiled & Edited by Subrata Bandyopadhyay (2nd Review)

** Thanks to our reviewer Sohini Saha for sharing a lovely review of the book. **

Nature Anthology is a literary collection as interesting and varied as Nature can be.

In this unique collection of short stories and poems by a diverse band of mostly amateur writers, explore how differences in human nature can turn the power of fire into a tool for progress or destruction, love London and Paris or ponder the tragedy of human beings’ race to ruin. Introspect on the nature of man or ponder over the enigma of a sunset, count the many blessings bestowed by nature and bow to the creator of such loveliness. Read on about the grace, hues and fashions of nature. Hear the cry of an unborn girl or walk down memory lane with Asha. Travel near and far and even take a quick peek into the Jarwa’s way of living. Find love on a rainy day or shed a tear over a lost love.

With ‘Nature’ as a theme, you will enjoy reading about the various interpretations by authors in a wide age group from teenagers to 70+. Facts, fiction, travelogues and mysteries in prose and emotions galore in the poetic pieces make for an interesting read. Progressive ideas hold hands with tinges of nostalgia and each piece has a new voice and feel to it. Reach out for this book if you are an avid reader looking for something fresh and new. If you are not a patient reader, you will still enjoy this book as each literary piece is kept short and sweet and can be read independently in just a few minutes. You are bound to find a connection with the authors’ ideas and come back again and again till you have read them all.

Overall, would rate the book as 4.6*/5* and is recommended reading for any age group.
