Bookshelves are incomplete without romance genre on the racks. Even being one of the oldest forms of fiction, it still has a charm of its own. "A Hiccup in Love" by Nivedita Vedurla is a wonderful novel for all age groups, though I will personally recommend it for matured readers who have gone through the marietal ups and downs in life to better appreciate the contents of the book.

The story majorly revolves around the life of Eshita, her soul mate, her husband and their son with a twist in her husband's character. The tough psychological situations, conflicts with parents, moments of dilemma, choosing between love and arranged marriage, dubious character traits, infidelity, mental stress if you have dependents (especially kids) are such feelings which are more relatable to readers who have crossed the hiccup of marriage in life. Teenagers might not find it that engrossing beyond a certain point of conflict in Eshita and Surya's love life. But the climax, rise and fall of central characters, double standings of leads, tension scenarios and the role of children in boosting morale of their parents have been superbly portrayed by the author. The novel scores well in storytelling too with a free flowing style of narration.

Literoma likes to rate the novel as 4*/5* and recommend it for all but not minors.
