‘Mohini The Tigress’ by Devi Raghuvanshi is by far the best of all of his books I have read till now. Right from the catchy title to the cover design, it is an absolute reader's delight. If I had found the book at any bookstore, I am sure to have picked it for my next reading without any second thought.
Coming to the novel plot in one line, it is a story of feminine torments, social harassments and their avenges through the eyes of the protagonist named Mohini. In today's society where every Indian witnesses a Nirbhaya fiasco around him or her, these kind of bold stories are much necessary and if influential authors like Dr. Raghuvanshi takes a step forward towards it, it is definitely going to have deeper impacts among the people through his readers. If it can change at least one life, that should be considered a success as an author.
This is Dr. Raghu's fifth book and maturity of the author as a writer can be clearly felt as a repeat reader. Story curation is extremely impactful and so are the scene settings. The relatable societal backdrop adds a special touch to the plot for Indian readers. The on ground detailing is so vivid that readers can feel pity and empathize the fictional victims.
I will like to rate the novel as 5*/5* and would strongly recommend for readers who are interested in socio-political dark plots.
