What constitutes a good life for you to lead? A life which has no complications with the pre-paved path? Or the one that calls for your customisation with inner peace? If you think former is better as it provides expected results, then you need to dig this semi-dystopian novel.

This is a story about boy Anicetus who have always struggled to cope with his fathers plans for his career. He gets into a great institute called Central Intelligence Institute and thereby he joins the soccer team. From here the story navigates and the vast possibilities of his life.

This is a heartbreaking memoir which has a tremendous loss for a person - the leanings and comforts for the societal status and lifestyle. This book is beautifully written with so many details. The story is uniquely dynamic where the Anicetus plays with the connections between two worlds and their foods, comfort etc. it actually narrates the sadness of hapless lad.

The prose and the characters are rich that I wish was developed just a bit more inclusions. Narrative style and the pacing is good. The cover with the golden title alone doesn’t do justice to the story.

My Ratings: 4*/5*. All in all, I recommend it for a good time.
