#Literoma Book Review
KASH TUM SAMAJH PATE Manisha Yadava
Thanks to Swapna Peri for reviewing the book on behalf of Liteorma.
Book Title: Kash tum Samajh Pate
Author: Dr.Manisha Yadava
Format: Kindle
Book Title:
The title of the book ' Kaash tum Samajh Pate ' is very attractive, emotional and soulful.
Book Cover:
The cover image of the book is an abstract art where ink is smeared very artistically
About the Author:
Dr. Manisha Yadava is a writer, poetess, Reiki healer, Angel card healer, Dowser, meditator, motivational speaker and volunteer associated with the Art of Living organization.
About the book:
“Kash Tum Samajh Pate” is a collection of 35 Hindi poems. Through the poems presented in this book, the author has tried to take your attention from a woman’s perspective to the social environment, the political situation going on in the country and the purposeful acts of a destructive section of our society.
My review:
From almost utter dislike to indifference to marginal acceptance to actually enjoying, my feelings towards poetry have undergone a drastic change in the last couple of months. Though I read books on poetry mostly in Telugu and English, somehow Hindi poetry never fascinated me much. Thanks to the recent interest in modern age poetry, Hindi poetry, especially by Indian Woman Authors has finally caught my fancy.
Now, talking about my experience after reading the third book from Author Dr.Manisha Yadava I have become a fan of her writing. It is not everyone's cup of tea to express the toughest of the tough emotions and feelings with the same agitation and pain that one feels.
this book ' Kash Tum Samajh Pate ' is a collection of 35 soulful poems written with extreme dedication, honesty and extreme emotions from a woman's perspective in general. It is indeed a known fact sadly how women across the world are taken for granted for them just being women. Here, in this collection, the author also emphasizes the feelings of a transgender woman who is treated worse than a worm especially in few communities in India. Each of the 35 poems is hard-hitting with harsh truths mentioned. It is a wonder how the author could portray such dark truths within fewer words.
The poems about Radha and Krishna talk about unconditional love, poems about a woman and a mother talk about a female's conception of pain to give and serve the world. One of the toughest poems to read was Hijra. If only anyone really understands this poem, nowhere again a transgender woman will be insulted.
The mentioned poems below are my personal favorites. Though written in simple language with very few words, the feeling that every line carries is absolutely delightful.
Poem#1: माँ का अस्तित्व
This poem talks about a mother's feelings and expression of being a woman and a mother.
Poem#2: पिता रूपी ससुर
This poem talks about the woman's perception and reception of the father in law after getting married and living with the husband's parents.
All the other poems in the book take the reader on a journey blended with ecstatic, cheerful and painful experiences of a woman. This book will definitely take a reader on an emotional journey to sense emotions that are must be considered or valued. Now, these forgotten emotions will surely be rekindled such is the author's writing skills.
Considering the feelings and emotions felt by a person about experiences, incidents, phenomena, and consequences as the main subject of the poem is very new and interesting. The tone of the poetry is equivalent to a sine wave having a number of crests and troughs.
What I like:
1. Because of the colloquial language without any abstract meaning, the message intended in each poem is reachable effortlessly.
2. Though a quick read, few poems are truly thought-provoking and heartfelt.
3. The feeling of happiness and gloomy are both balanced in a very good manner
What I didn't like:
The book is an interesting read with no points to be disliked but hopes there were more poems to read.
