#LITEROMA Book Review :: "Potpourri : Stories for Children" by Urvashi Tandon

Children literature had taken a somewhat backseat in the last one decade or so. That’s why it’s so encouraging to see a book like ‘Potpourri : Stories for Children’ being written. It has all the ingredients of an authentic children book - starting from the cover design, illustrations to contents of the stories.

The book has ten stories and each story has a lesson of its own. What stands out is the way the learnings had been taught. It’s not very easy to get the buy in of moral lessons from a modern day kid. It becomes possible only when the recipe of the book is such that it tastes great for them beyond their understanding. In this book the author Urvashi Tandon nails the bull's eye with perfection.

My rating of the book is 4*/5*. It’s going to be a great read for kids and adults alike. Will look forward to the next book from the author.
