** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Prabhuprasad Paruchuri for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma Publishing Services. ** Never Again is a book dedicated to the soldiers and warriors in the different battles. Not many books are written on such topics. This is a brilliantly written book. In this book, author has mentioned about the secret dairy of solider Kasper Hartmann. Author has put in lot of research and hard work for the book. Many statements written in the book are the source of motivation. They motivate you as a person while reading. Few editing mistakes but overall this book is worth reading as it talks about a life of a soldier as well as narrates the incidents in the past and present. The German glossary given in the beginning is useful for the readers like us. Overall, author has shown in this book that he has all the potential for the major success in future. Our rating is 4.0 out of 5. The only fl...

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘It’s not How, It’s Why?' by Ranjit Samal

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** It’s really heartening to see an Indian author writing a book on self-development. And the author Mr. Ranjit Samal deserves a lot of praise for trying his hand out in this genre. The book can serve as a source of inspiration for its readers. It is written based on the perspective of the author and will help the readers in self-exploration. The cover page of the book is very appealing and the overall book quality is also impressive. It creates a first glance attraction for any book reading enthusiast. Coming to the genre, its very difficult and rare non-fiction genre from an Indian market standpoint while there are a lot of books written in the West over last 60 years. There is an interesting fallacy out here – those who are motivated enough to pick up a book on self-healing by an Indian debutant author may not find the book to be extremely fascinating just by the contents. The challenge...

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘Never Again’ by Shreyan Laha (4th Review)

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Reetwika Banerjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma Publishing Services. ** The best way to describe ‘Never Again’ is – it’s a perfect recipe with quality ingredients which tastes best when served hot. A gripping cover page, a less explored genre, a set of uncanny characters, a near-forgotten chapter from history and a simple narration style all put together perfectly to deliver an awesome read due to a steady start and buildup. However the end was little abrupt end and we found mixing up of perspectives at places. But, we can always tend to give the benefit of doubt to the author keeping in mind it’s his first novel and overall he has done a great job with the book. It’s a must-read for all the history fiction enthusiasts and readers who love to explore different genres.   Overall, we rate it as 4.4*/5* and recommend our readers for a relaxed reading.

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘Never Again’ by Shreyan Laha (3rd Review)

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer TK Mukherjee for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma Publishing Services. ** ‘Never Again’ marks the promising debut of author Shreyan Laha. The book is a refreshing gift for readers who have a flair for world history. The book is a must read for any reader who loves exploring new genres. Good job done by the author in terms of building a plot with a historic backdrop. The characters built seem authentic. The cover image is captured to the true essence of the plot. However, post his promising debut, if Shreyan wants to grow as an author he needs to focus more on proper research. At times, the lack of the same was evident. Perhaps, it also led to an abrupt end. The way the climax was built deserves appreciation. But the abrupt end works as a mood spoiler. Also, there is a bit of mix up in first person and third person writing. At times, that hampers the reading experience.   ...

2nd Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘Never Again’ by Shreyan Laha

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ** Thanks to our reviewer Anwesha Ghosh for reviewing the book on behalf of Literoma Publishing Services. ** The discovery of the dairy of Kasper Hartmann, a Nazi soldier under the regime of Adolf Hitler, sets everything in motion. But what has a dairy, ‘The Stranded Legend’ that was erased from the face of history and suddenly discovered in the cold desert of Siberia to do with India and its present political conspiracies, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose and the present global terrorism? How is this dairy pivotal to the plot and what is this NEVER AGAIN? The mystery surrounding the dairy reveals a truth that is as shocking and as gruesome as the Nazi regime. Well, that is the gripping story that you will get to read in the novel ‘Never Again’. And if you have a knack in world history, like me, then this book is sure to have your nose in it till its last page. If I’m to give a critical opinion to the book, the...

1st Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: ‘Never Again’ by Shreyan Laha

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** As they say, “Never judge a book by its cover”. ‘Never again’ is one of those books which tend to change your take about the saying. As a reader, one will be tempted to defy the saying and love the cover of its book. The content mostly lives up to the expectation set by the cover. Positives:- 1. ‘Historic fiction’ is refreshing as a genre. Very few good works are written in this area. 2. The book is not too bulky making it a good one-sitting read. However the contents could have been slimmed at places. 3. The language used is lucid and can be easily understood by any passing reader. Areas of Improvements:- 1. The first few chapters are a bit complicated which may hamper the overall reading experience. 2. The list of German words at the start of the book is a bit unnecessary. The sudden presence of a few German words here and there in the novel spoils the mood at times. 3. Editing quality can be improved ...

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Kansa (Book 1 - The Killer Trilogy)" by Prassant Kevin

** Thanks to the author for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** Serial killing is one of the most explored genres when it comes to thrillers. It’s always a difficult task to create a sense of unexplored thrill in the arena of an explored genre. The author has succeeded in doing so for sure. 'Kansa' has all the ingredients that a psychological thriller demands – well established characters, a gripping story, gruesome serial killing and of course a twist in the tale. Don’t want to spoil the thrilling reading experience of the readers by getting into the details of the plot. However, if this is the first book of a ‘trilogy’, the next two ones are bound to be mouth-watering prospects for thriller lovers. Readers just can’t afford to miss this book. Overall, we rate it to be a 4*/5* and recommend for a fair reading. Looking forward to read more of such great works from the author in future.

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Dasharajna" by Dr. Shankar Kashyap

** Thanks to author Dr. Shankar Kashyap for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** 'Dasharajna - The Battle of Ten Kings' is a wonderful gift from the author to his readers. But let us warn you - its not a book for passing readers. If you adore ancient Indian history and have honest respect towards a writer's extensive background work, then this is a book you must not miss. One of the most difficult tasks in writing is to deep dive in the realms of history and recreate that in the form of fiction. Dr. Kashyap did exactly that in this book and I must appreciate the publisher for creating such a wonderful cover to match the standard of the contents. The holistic package of the book including cover, formatting, paper quality, fonts etc create a quick attraction to flip through the pages. The book is bound to be liked by avid readers of both fiction and non-fiction genres (esp mythology/ historic fiction). Very few books in the history of Indian literature present us w...

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "My Mother" by Subhrajyoti Parida

** Special thanks to the author for gifting such an engrossing read - "My Mother: A Tribute of a Yearning Son".** Perhaps the most difficult scenario in one’s life is when he loses his go-to person. The level of emotion makes it practically impossible to find an immediate way out. Through this book, the author not only fought his way back to life but also took the effort of documenting the fight. The book presents the readers with a very simplistic narrative style and easy to understand English. We liked the overall getup, cover and quality of print. And above all, it tells a simple philosophy of life – In the presence of the ‘go-to’ person of one’s life, one knows whom to reach to during crisis moments but when the absence of that very person becomes the crisis, quite ironically, you again find the same person as your saviour; only, the direction of the search reverses. It becomes internal instead of external. We’ll like to congratulate the author for capturi...

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Inside the Heart of Hope" by Rishabh Puri

** Thanks to author Rishabh Puri for gifting us a review copy of the book.**  'Inside the heart of hope’ is a simple story on a complex subject narrated effectively by debutante author Rishabh Puri. We tend to find many fighters around us battling different fights but only some of them take the pain of recording the fight in the form of a communication product. Rishabh does exactly that in his book ‘Inside the heart of hope’. The book should inspire a lot of souls fighting similar battles. Kudos to the author for his effort. However, if Rishabh wants to continue with his writing stint, he needs to work on his character building skills. For example, the character of ‘Amy’ is neither well established nor well described. We’re sure with the kind of battle Rishabh had won in his life, he’ll come out a clear winner in his literary battle as well. Overall we rate the book as 3.2*/5* and recommend it for a reading.

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES :: "Rains off a Smoky Sky" by Pritam Mondal

** Thanks to the author for sharing a review copy of the book. ** Well what to say about 'Rains off a Smoky Sky' ?? A simple story told in a simple manner, which can be well understood by anyone and everyone. Telling a simple story in a simple style is never an easy job. Dr. Pritam Mondal does exactly that with a fair degree of comfort in his book. The biggest plus of the book is its underlying simplicity. One can relate with the changing emotions of Anurita and that perhaps is the biggest success of the author. The aspect which could have been improved is the pace of the story. At times, the story moves forward too fast. Also, the cover page is a bit cluttered. Improving the same could have increased the overall visual appeal. Overall we rate it as 3.5*/5* and a quick reading.

Book Review by LITEROMA PUBLISHING SERVICES - The 365 Days by Nikhil Ramteke

** Thanks to author Nikhil Ramteke for gifting us a review copy of the book. ** ‘The 365 days’ takes the reader through a passage hardly explored earlier. It’s the account of people with varied skill sets from Kerala who travel all the way to gulf expecting a better living. It’s perhaps the first such attempt where an author did a reality check to understand if these people truly get a better living or no t. The author is to be congratulated for making an honest effort to tell a bold story on a sensitive topic. The coverpage is good and so is the overall representation of the book. The only aspect of storytelling which could have been better was the context setting. Since the topic selected is a niche one, a better context setting would have resulted into a better connect with readers from different walks of life, especially who do not lead the life of the characters in the novel. Overall we rate the book as 3.8*/5* and recommend it for a reading.
